Problem: Holiday shopping. That’s it. That’s the problem. But really, Meijer, a grocery chain throughout the midwest, was known for having whimsical in-store shopping experiences. However, their online and e-comm presences were lackluster, and with more people doing more online shopping ever year, there was a disconnect.
Solution: The Wishlist, an immersive shopping product and tool. Parents were prompted with a few simple questions about the person they were buying gifts for; age, interests, etc. The parents would then share the wishlist and ask the recipient to pick out their favorite toys in an AR-like mobile, tablet and desktop experience. The toys would populate a “Wishlist” which could be shared to friends and family, working similarly to a wedding registry.
